Stay organized and efficient by tracking individual client activity and upcoming sessions. Or use the programs tab to create training cycles with preplanned workouts. No matter how you like to plan- one week at a time or months at a time- there is a helpful calendaring feature for you!
Workouts, training cycles, program advancement—plan it all! The workouts tab in the SmartFitness app gives you the opportunity to use existing workouts or create your own. The best part is that every workout you create is saved in your database and can be edited and reassigned to a different client. The more you use the app, the larger your database grows!
Track clients, training progression, assessment results, and more. Each client's page has an activity tracker in a calendar view to allow you to see what you have programmed for them and what they have completed. You can also view their progress photos from their individual page.
The extensive exercise library on the SmartFitness training app has more than 300 exercises, stretches, and mobility and flexibility movements. Trainers also have the ability to create their own exercises with a description, steps for execution, and a video as well—the options are endless!
Creating a circuit of exercises is the first step in creating an individual workout or designing an entire program for a client. First, select Circuits from the top menu bar.
You'll have the option to Search existing circuits or Create New to make your own.
To the left on the dashboard, any previous circuits (and the template circuits) will be listed for you to view and edit.
To create a new circuit, select Create New. From here, you can give your new circuit a title, determine the number of times it should be completed (number of sets), and include any text you'd like your client to see as they begin the circuit and as they end. This can include instructions, encouragement, or even a note on form!
To add exercises, select Add First Exercise.
The list of pre-existing exercises will pop up and there is a search function at the top of the list if you know what you're looking for.
When you select an exercise, it will appear on the screen for you to select the number of repetitions (reps), sets, the time, weight needed, and rest period. It is not required to set all these parameters. Choose those that are appropriate for your client, phase of programming, and training style. When done, select Add Another Exercise.
Continue to add exercises until your circuit is complete. When finished, select Add Circuit at the bottom of the page.
Viola! Your new circuit will appear in the list on the top left side of the page!
It is now ready to be deployed in a workout or as part of a program for a client. The great thing is that your circuits are saved forever! You can edit them and change the parameters at any time and resave them to your circuit library.
The fact that any circuits, programs, and exercises you create are saved in the SmartFitness platform makes it invaluable! Every client you train will have a unique program. However, you can save valuable time programming by using your basic circuits to create exercises and make modifications and edits as needed! The same goes for full programs. Trainers can program for an infinite number of weeks at a time, name their programs, and assign them to multiple clients at the same time! These programs are editable and can be easily customized for each client.
