New India Partnership Fuels ISSA’s Global Mission

The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) has entered into a new partnership with UF Academy & Studios (UFAS) and URJA Academy to elevate the standards of fitness training and instruction across India. United by a shared mission, the partnership aims to empower future fitness professionals through world-class instruction and certification.

This collaboration is the latest step in ISSA’s ongoing effort to meet the rising global demand for certified, career-ready fitness professionals. With more than 35 years in the industry and over 1 million students served worldwide, ISSA brings a depth of expertise to a country where the wellness economy is growing fast and so too is the appetite for high-quality fitness education.

Training the Trainers

UF Academy & Studios and URJA Academy have made it their mission to equip instructors, not just individuals, with better tools and deeper knowledge. As part of this new alliance, both institutions will now offer ISSA certifications throughout India and Sri Lanka, including within government-backed initiatives. Delivery will include classroom, blended, and community-centered approaches, designed specifically for the local context.
