Carpinteria, CA - September 16, 2009 - The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) has been selected by G.I. Jobs magazine as a Military Friendly School for 2010, placing them in the top 15% of all schools nationwide.

The only fitness organization to be listed as a Nationally Accredited Distance Learning Program by the Department of Defense for DANTES, the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) has been approved for Military Tuition Assistance. The U.S. Armed Forces Tuition Assistance (TA) is a benefit paid to eligible members of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Congress has given each service the ability to pay up to 100% of the tuition expenses of its members.

ISSA has also been approved for the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Financial Assistance program, which provides up to $6,000 in financial assistance to the spouses of active duty and activated Guard and Reserve Service members worldwide.

Additionally, a service member eligible for the Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) is allowed to elect to receive MGIB benefits for all or a portion of the remaining expenses if a service department pays less than 100% of the tuition and expenses. The ISSA is also GI Bill approved by the Bureau for Private and Postsecondary Vocational Education (BPPVE) under contract with the Veteran's Administration. Active military, veterans, and eligible spouses and dependents can receive reimbursement from the Veteran's Administration for testing fees for any ISSA fitness certification courses.
