ISSA Congratulates Seminar Professor John Schaeffer

ISSA

The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA)—the world leader in fitness education responsible for “training the trainers” since 1988—congratulates John Schaeffer. Recently, ISSA professor John Schaeffer, MFS, MSS, MPN, has made the news for his role working with Olympic athletes, including Olympic and World Champion Short Track Speed Skater, Apolo Ohno.

An accomplished professional athlete, and professor for the ISSA, John’s unique training program and approach to nutrition and athletic performance have made him a key factor for the achievements of many top ranked high school and collegiate athletes, as well as hundreds of elite professional athletes, many of whom now stand on the podium as Olympic superheroes.

"John's knowledge of fitness combined with the absolute passion that he has for fitness, training, and conditioning are simply unparalleled in my experience," says Dr. Sal Arria, ISSA CEO/Co-founder. "His ability and willingness to convey both that knowledge and passion to ISSA personal training students has been invaluable to the hundreds of certified trainers who now incorporate his skills when designing and implementing safe and effective exercise programs."

The ISSA is privileged to have such a knowledgeable and experienced fitness professional as part of its organization—after more than a decade as an ISSA seminar professor, John continues to help athletes with their sports performance and overall fitness level, while still teaching and sharing his fitness expertise with the personal trainers of tomorrow.
