The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) announced today that they have been approved by the Department of Defense for the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Financial Assistance program.
In mid May 2009, MyCAA will officially open its doors for eligible military spouses, providing financial assistance to help pay for education in high growth, high demand fields. MyCAA provides up to $6,000 in financial assistance to the spouses of active duty and activated Guard and Reserve Service members worldwide.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the fitness industry can expect much faster than average growth versus other industries, through 2016. For those who have an interest in nutrition, weight loss, or any other segment of the fitness industry, ISSA offers several options for education. "MyCAA provides military spouses the opportunity to gain their education from the ISSA and enter the work force as a fitness professional," says Dr. Sal Arria, CEO and founder of the ISSA. "We're very excited to help all members of the military, spouses included, who have done so much for our country."
The ISSA is the only fitness organization accredited by a federally recognized agency and approved for Military Spouse Financial Assistance. For more information about the MyCAA program and how you can take advantage of the tuition assistance program, visit: http://www.issaonline.com/military/.
