Fitness Project Pledges to Rid 100,000 Pounds of Nation's Bodyfat

The recent uprising of obesity has caused American citizens to take note of their expanding waistlines, and change unhealthy habits. With an estimated 10 million people in the U.S. suffering from a varying degree of being overfat, if 50,000 people lost just 4 pounds in the month of July, (equivalent to about 1-inch in the waistline), the Get America Fit challenge will be an astounding success.

Santa Barbara, CA -- July 8, 2004 -- The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) announced today that they will actively support the Get America Fit project, lasting the month of July, 2004.

The recent uprising of obesity has caused American citizens to take note of their expanding waistlines, and change unhealthy habits. Bill Gobin, director of the "Get America Fit" program has joined forces with the more than 65,000 ISSA personal trainers to help the United States lose 100,000 pounds of unhealthy bodyfat.
