Upcoming Fitness Trainer Seminar in Chicago

Carpinteria, CA – January 15, 2008 – International Sports Sciences Association announced today that its acclaimed Certified Fitness Trainer Seminar will be coming to Chicago February 16-17, 2008. The seminar will be taught by Dr. Jack Barnathan, DCC, who has been recognized internationally as a leading authority on strength development and its dramatic impact on health & human performance. The President's Council on Physical Fitness officially commended him as "a vital link in the national fitness family."

“Every one of the ISSA’s CFT weekend workshops is a remarkable opportunity to help wellness professionals embrace the science of fitness,” says Dr. Sal Arria, CEO and co-founder of the ISSA. “Our seminars help students truly understand the meaning behind and the application of fitness principles.” Students often describe the class as having “pulled it all together” for them.

Attendees have the unique opportunity to network with other fitness professionals during these two powerful days of learning, and more importantly, gain skills and insights from their classmates that will help jumpstart or further their fitness careers. Space is limited, so interested parties are encouraged to sign up early by calling toll-free 800-892-4772 or going online at issaonline.com.

“I’m always thrilled to see a student grasp a challenging concept that we explored or to have someone nod their head with approval when a challenging assessment like ‘Karvonen’s Formula’ is broken down into clearly understandable components,” says professor Dr. Barnathan.

“If I hadn't attended the seminar, the certification exam would have been a lot harder.  Although I did complete the text, workbook and practice exam, Dr. Jack really put the information into perspective.  He taught me how to apply science to my client's workouts and make it fun and interesting for them,” says recent student Natalie Rossman.

Space is limited. To find out more about the ISSA’s upcoming L.A. area seminar at www.issaonline.com, or call toll-free 800-892-4772 to enroll.
